Lexie's 2nd birthday party

Saturday, April 9 - we had an Easter egg painting party as Lexie's 2nd birthday. About 10 cute toddlers came to help celebrate Lexie's birthday. Each child had half a cartoon of white wooden eggs (I luckily found them at Hobby Lobby - can you imagine letting 2 year olds play with boiled eggs. . . .). We had washable paint, markers, and stickers to decorate them. Every child got their own smock with their initial on it.

After the eggs were finished, Dave got out the bounce house for the kids to jump in.

My parents, inlaws, and best friend were all able to make it for the party. It was such a fun day. I think all the kids had a fun time - I know the adults did. The weather couldn't have been more nice!
Party favor baskets - a stuff egg (when you unzip it, there is a stuffed rabbit inside), sidewalk chalk, saf-t-pop suckers, welch's fruit snacks, and "dress a bunny" stickers.

2 YEARS OLD!!!!

My goodness, where does the time go?? I cannot believe we just got done celebrating Lexie's "SECOND" birthday (April 6)! I remember like it was yesterday when she was born.

She is quite the active child and is growing like a weed.

At her 2 year old check up, she was:

Weight - 92nd percentile

Height - 90th percentile

Head - 97th percentile

She loves to:

Play outside (rain or shine)

Push her baby stroller up and down the hills of our backyard

go up and down our stairs by herself

drink from a "big girl" cup and not her sippy cup

watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. . .still

snuggle with Mommy in the mornings and at night

play with Daddy in the basement

help mommy cook

play with "sticks" (stickers)

read books about animals or AUBIE

paint or color with markers (things that make a bigger mess than crayons

dress herself with jewelry and beads (she LOVES trying to get into Mommy's jewelry).

picking out her own shoes and bows

playing chase with Papa or G'pops

going to the farm with Su Su and Papa

animals - she is obsessed with "horsee's", "cock-a-doo's", cows, ducks, goats, and her most favorite for the past year, "DAY DAYS" (dogs).

going to the zoo

going to the park and sliding down the slides

french fries and nuggets (she calls chick-fil-a "Chick-o-lay" and McDonalds "fries") - I know, mother of the year, right?

cheese (can never get enough), yogurt, and apple sauce

anything sweet (she got her daddy's sweet tooth)

SHOP - yes, she is just like me. I always ask her if she wants to go shop and the child goes crazy with excitement!

and lawnmowers - yes, it's odd. But we have to go outside and watch our neighbors mow their grass when she hears the "mawnmowers" noise.

Happy Birthday to our sweet girl! We love you so much!!!
